Dad had a '55 like that but his was teal and white. One of his former Oldsmobile dealers pestered him about buying it for several years and Dad finally gave in. The dealer had the car completely restored and it's now a display piece in his showroom, even though he's obviously no longer an Oldsmobile dealer.

Agreed. I love seeing cars on the road, and it's even better when they look as if they have been driven since new.

Your car looks great to me! Here's a Craigslist link to your car in MN more along the lines of what I would expect in a driver quality car around here. Not sure why anyone would want to remove the optional aftermarket floor-mounted ventilation system...
