I'm Dar, and am new to this...So I am trying to locate the vin number on this car. I am not having any luck, I am hoping someone here can help me with this. Thank you!

 

Welcome to the site, post some pictures of your car when you get a chance. The Vin tag should be in the forward drivers door frame.

 

There is not a tag there and there are no holes to show that one had been there.

 

Darlene, I would think that the vin # plate would be located on the drivers side post close to the upper door post near the door hinge as Eric said, but they had a body and style plate on the firewall near the wiper motor. This would give you the body style#, paint, and interior trim #'s. Go to 1960Oldsmobile.com and it decodes these numbers for you. Good luck

Thanks you all, next time I am where the car is, I will look in those spots. I watched the video you sent me to. I will try to post pics of the car when I can. It belongs to a friend and am trying to get it sold for him.
