Does anyone have picture of 72 Cutlass inner console box

I am missing my inner console box from my 72 Cutlass. I want to install a new one but I see a couple accessories advertised with the inner console box. I do not know how the original or a fully intact one should look. Does anyone have a picture of one? Thanks.

Welcome to the site.

I don't have a picture.

The only things that come to mind...

It has a wiring harness to activate the light. Parts involved would be a switch and a lens cover...and bulb of course not to mention the fastners one might need.

Edit...also a lock mechanism.

If there is something else, it would be a learning experience for me. What company/or link of accessorys are you seeing or reading?

Need schematics on installing console

I have all the parts I need to fully install the console box I just don't know where to start. I have the brackets and the console box and I also have a little bit of wiring issues with the lights in the box. So any electrical schematics will help as well for the console box. Thanks.

I have a 71 with console..72 should be exactly the same.

There are two wiring sections for the console. The first one (second pic) plugs right into the factory wiring in the dash. I call that the lead.

The second one, (first pic) or pigtail contains the bulb socket and connections for the switch etc.

This is plug n play, unless your are doing something different. Heres a couple of pics. Hope that helps.

Pics of 72 console box opening and bulbs

Thank you all for you help and efforts I am a newbie and I appreciate all the help. Below I have attached pics. I am not sure where both bulbs (One big and one small) go in the light housing that is at the rear of the console. I see the holes in the housing but do not know how they fit or in what position(up or down) they are suppose to fit.

To add, the bigger bulb has a shortage in it and I'm assuming it's the bulb that lights up the light housing (yellow cover) in the back of the console. I don't know if the shortage is in the connector that holds the bulb or it's in the connector line. I can't trace the line because it runs down up my console and I don't know where it may end.

Lastly, I am confused as how the smaller light will fit (or is supposed to fit) in the light covering for the console box. The bulb is too long and i dont see how the bulb positioned in one of the holes in the first picture will show light through the light cover that sits in the console if it doesn't fit directly into it. Another thing I am missing a gold terminal for the pin switch and I don't know if these gold terminals are special or could I just pick up a regular terminal from an auto parts store. Thank you.

How does this smaller bulb fit in this light cover?

The accessories I was referring to were the pin switch and the light cover housing. I didn't know I needed those. But so far I have purchased the lock and retainer and installed it and I also have the two piece console box. I just need to purchase the pin switch. Thank you for your help.
