Is it wrong to burn rubber?

first nice day.jpg

I bought the car to have some fun, I had a 72 convt 20 years ago that I got rid of due to kids on the way and never ending rust.

So now, got one that needed very little, and it is a blast. Installed a new radio with the help of some folks from the electrical forum, wiring diagram and all.

Cool website.

My car is actually a numbers matching sx that has some 442 badging on it.

It runs like a 455, leaves a cloud of rubber smoke when you want it too.

I think we all do our part in striping the roadways, carry on. It's the only kind of smoking that's good for your health.

We get fined and dam near put in Jail under the road racing bylaw up here in Canada. Unnecessary noise is $150. Good thing they don't hear me laying rubber with the wife, who knows what that'd get me!

No it's not wrong. In fact there are signs on the road that tell you to.

Some cars are simply not driven enough to wear the tires down. Pulling Broadies, burnin rubber, Layin scratch etc.. ensures youll wear em out prior to them being too old to drive safely on. See DOT codes on tires thread and keep the streets safe!

Other signs favor the 'sprited' driver. For example You should hit the gas hard and prepare when you see "Slide Ahead."

Love the sign - I wonder if that would hold up in court?
I say burn 'em up and often - as long as it is safe to do so!
