Why I'm here

Joined because I'm finally free. Free of a mortgage, the kids are grown, the wife is agreeable, so now it's time for me to find the car I've wanted for decades. A 59 Olds convertible. My dad had a 59 2 door hardtop when I was a kid, and the Bodkins down the street had one also. I've always loved the look of the car. Now it's my time to fulfill this want, no dammit, NEED. Hope I can find one, and share the experience here.

I just purchased a 1972 442 clone convertible. The car is beautiful, nearly perfect, and I love it. I've only had it for two weeks and I'm already sunburned as hell from driving with the top down.

I found this forum a couple months ago while I was still trying to decide whether to buy one of these fantastic cars. Finally pulled the trigger.

I owned a 72 Cutlass Supreme about 25 years ago while I was in high school. Glad to finally have another one.

Thanks.
