what else could i do??
So, my best friend had a short stint in the used car business. He did his research on all the cars he purchased. I watched as hours on craigslist turned into weeks of well read choices on 3 cars. An 87 chevy c10 w/305 fi. Solid steel body. A 93 ls400 w/the toyo v8 and an 83 cutlass sup. Brougham w/new 350 edelbrok performer(olds/chevy factory built) crate motor that had been dropped into a body that someone who greatly deserved a garage who carport kept this gem for upward of 26 yrs. All three for less than 1200 each. I had a car that was good to me but on her proverbial last breath. I jumped at the cutty. He was juggling too much and was too close of a friend not to pass her onto me. I gladly paid him slightly more w/all his research and expertise and rolled away w/Marisol. I have had her for a little over 4 months and i truly have poured my heart n2 this vixen. The motor is so strong and the guy who had her put $7500 worth of parts and work n2 her but had fallen on hard times and had it to spare b/c she was 1 of 8 cars he was preparing for the dragstrip. I have 1 amazing car. It's the nostagia and the silouhette that are so eye catching. Everyone remembers a better time, a strong america w/good cars and better nigbtlife and people that werent afraid to get grimy if the night called for it. She will always rep. Our younger days, it why we cant part w/them. I would never sell this car. Idont understand guys who put so much n2 skmething and just sell it for worthless $$ they lrob cant even tell u what their wives spent it on. Bold onto ur ***** boys, and ur olds's.
Unfortunately, G-Bodies don't have great resale. You see cars like that all the time. That is why its a hobby, not a business for most. Enjoy what you have and drive the ***** off of it.
I'm a little low on the post count to be responding to too many introduction posts, but dude, this was awesome!

Right on! Oldcutlass is right though, as long as we're still driving and enjoying and wrenching on our cars, times are as good as you make them. Find some cool hang-outs and cruise buddies, and it's the old days, all over again. "Removed from circulation in modern society", as I like to say. Welcome.
BTW, what does the 919 represent?
