UK based Jefire
Hello, I'm Peter and I'm an engineer. I live in the UK. I've been collecting 215 ci Jetfire parts to build a clone based on a non Jetfire F85 for about 14 years now and will soon be looking for a shell to import here. I have most of the unique mechanical parts stashed away. I collected these first as I knew it would take years!
I'm going to be based around the very strong cross bolted 4 bolt main cap Rover V8 4.6 engine, of which your 215 is an ancient ancestor. These are like the US small block C*evy, we didn't get many V8 engines here. It will be dressed as an original 215.
Although it will look stock, there will be some hidden changes. Throttle body converted (reversible) for EFI, mapped ignition, modern wide LSA turbo optimised cam, 15 inch wheels based on the original scanned hubcaps, brake upgrades and a T5 trans.
I am also converting an MGB GT to 4.6 Rover power with an Oldsmobile theme to the trim and finish. This will also be turbocharged. The first MGB GT V8 prototype was built using a salvaged Olds 215 from Holland.
Imagine a really clever US hot rodder transplanted the Turbo 215 and made a Jetfire sports coupe, that's what I'm aiming for with that one. I'm even replicating the ribbed aluminum trim pieces for the interior, using Olds F85 door handles, winders etc.
Anyway, thank you for this amazing resource, I only just found it. I'll post up my MGB build thread if it's not heresy
Maybe I'll be able to help a few people along the way. Thanks Peter

Well thank you so much for the warm welcome! I've had such a nice experience of this place! Just been sent some Jetfire emblems that I needed to finish the parts collecting.
I the MGB is first, so I'll gather photos and get this up over the next week or so. Always happy to help people with Rover parts for the 215's from the UK.
I've just designed the under axle turbocharger set up for the MG. Should have an easy 300hp on 5psi.
Thanks again Peter
