I own 1969 olds 442 for the last 3 years. Motor is a match to the car. But I have been tryin to figure out on the tranny tag is yellow an has a letter code of P B . I know it is a th400 from a1967 car but what car I can't seem to find out.......... please someone can give me the right answer. Thank u scott

P is Pontiac. B is the application. I'm not sure what that is; I'd have to check the books.

The year and code are also engraved into the trans ID plate.

 

My '67 Grand Prix convertible had the same code transmission.
It's for two barrel Pontiac 400 applications in '67, excepting the GTO .
