Talking Tally another new Olds admirer

I have a 1970 Cutlass Supreme all original (minus hub caps, paint and upholstery). My Father bought it new after returning from Vietnam, only had $2500 otherwise I may have had a 442 convertible (was $3500, he really wanted that one). I digress. Good to be here I have been searching for the right paint color as I believe the current tone is off a little. The car needs some work but looks real good from 100 feet away. I had a 1971 Cutlass but I was young and dumb and totalled it ..................

Welcome to the site Nick! Most of us have either wrecked or sold at least one car that we now wish we had! What part of the country are you in? Any more pictures of your car that you can share? John

Welcome to CO Nick. It is neat to be able to have a car like yours that has family roots.

hopefully fixed my info to include location. I will try to post some better pictures shortly, they tend to get trapped on my camera.

Here's a couple pics - taken last weekend at a local small town parade, only ones I have available at the moment. Not the best quality as they were taken with a phone. Enjoy

Cars that are handed down from father to son are special. That car must have a very special meaning to your father to have kept it for so long. I don't have that kind of history with my cars as I have not had them all that long, yet I plan on passing them on to my son along with my mortgage payment.

Nice car keep the family history going.

Thanks to "svnt442" over in the Cutlass threads I think I have the paint figured out. The "--" on the cowl tag represent a special order color. For 1970 that was Rally Red. I think I interpreted his explanation correctly.
