Sweet Trade turned me on to Omega w 350 rocket
So I had this cbr I was tired of riding so I put it on craigslist "Trade for Old Nova Impala(Im a Chevy Guy) or such and This kid calls and says he has a running driving Omega...we send pics back in forth and I checked out his add he wanted 2800 or trade the bike I had 1000 bucks in and rode all last year(saved me prob 2000 in gas from driving my truck) so I jump on it. Now I have it andbought parts nova car (So glad its an Omega in not a nova) and traded sum port in polished 327 sbc heads for a 425 Super Rocket with 400 turbo out of a 65 98. I cant tell a difference in the sb and the bb. Ive heard there is very little differnce in the olds bb 2 sb deck heght and crank. So if this is true the 65 425 should drop right in no problem if so I will drop in the next few weeks if theres alot of moding i'll wait till winter any help would be greatly apprecated.

Difference is deck height. Use the frame perches & motor mounts on your small block. All pumps & brackets should transfer over. Obstacle will be exhaust. That won't transfer & headers for big block in that body are $$. Watch for clearance on the brake nooster too if it has power brakes. Good luck & post a pic if you have achance.

so with a complete bb and 400 trans I can swap strait out the manifolds look pretty much the same if i cant use either of these a 403 TA headers should work right. I know its done from camaros to novas so y not omega to Trans Am. How do I post pics here n Ill be glad to share sum

If its out of a 65 its probably a 425 not a 455, still a great motor. Make sure what you bought, some parts are different between a 425 and a 455 though they are of the same family.... Welcome aboard...Tedd

Welcome. That TH400 will be a long tail, which might be excessively long for an X-body. You'll need a custom driveshaft in any case. If you don't want to pony up for the expensive headers, you'll need the W/Z exhaust manifolds from a 1969-72 442. These are reproduced.
