Strut advice

I think I need to replace my front struts on my 72 cutlass 350. I want to maintain the smooth boat like ride and also want the car to sit tall and proud. Any advice on brand

I suggest you go to your local auto parts store. You can get shocks with a lifetime warranty.

FYI, the 72 Cutlass has front Short Long Arm suspension with coil springs and shocks.

The shock absorbers (not struts as mentioned above) don't set the suspension height, that is what the springs do. If the front is sagging you may need to replace the springs.

Any inexpensive shock will restore your Cutlass boat like ride. As stated above, its the springs that determine the height of the car.
