Side View Mirrors

What is the correct placement of side view mirrors on a 1955 Olds 88 Holiday? I see them on the doors and on the top of the fenders. Just want to be sure before I drill holes in my fresh paint.

On the rears of the dual A pillar deer hunting spotlights.

Somebody will know.
Those holes don't come out very well if they're wrong, not even if you run the drill in reverse.

Welcome to CO. Finding a chassis service manual may be your best bet for information like that but hopefully someone here may know the answer to your question.
