Rear axle width

In my opinion, the 57/64 Olds/Pontiac rear is one way to go.
I would take the wheels off and measure from backing plate to backing plate.
My thought is the '62 big Olds rear is the one to use. The 57 to 60 Olds rear has leaf springs, but i think they are wider.
I have a couple, but they all are from coil spring cars. I can measure what I have and give you an idea. You can cut the brkts off and weld leaf spring perches on.
next would be a 9 inch rear and have it custom fit.
But you best bet is measure yours and go from there.
