Quadrajet help

Hey guys...been a member for awhile now but never posted really. Finally getting around to working on my 68 Cutlass. Just dropped in a sister 350 from another 68. This has 4bbl manifold and I put a quadrajet on it. Besides trans, pcv valve distributor advance and power brake booster, what other vacuum do I need. Can anyone tell me which port is which on this carb???

I'm not a carb expert, but if you'll post pictures of your carb (there were some differences over the years) maybe someone here can help. John

I have a Q jet rebuild and info manual but will have to look for it.Usally from what I know you have a vacum for the brake booster and one for the distributor advance and the pvc is attached. Those are what is attached on my car but mine is a 67 they added more junk as the years went on.Could be a few other items like vacum heater controls that have to be attached.

I bought a carb for another vehicle I was working on and since the carb was for many different applications several of the the ports or inlets were plugged off. They should have given you info or general instructions with the carb in box.I think I ended up plugging off at least half of the ports or inlets.I guess it all depends on what your car has if it is ac equipped or not etc.67 68 were fairly easy not so much emission junk to deal with.

What Rickman said.

And, as I said on your other identical thread, if you bought it new from Summit, it should have come with a diagram of what all the nipples were for. It's clearly different from your original so us telling you where the original ports should be would be hit-or-miss, as would your consulting your Chassis Service Manual.
