Ongoing Delta 88 project
hey guys! i'm a first generation car guy, and a couple years ago (17 at the time) i decided to get a summer job and buy a fixer-upper... it's a 68 delta 88 sedan! i'm the second owner of this sled, and the odometer reads 50k miles. the interior is in near perfect condition, and there's hardly any rust on the body. pretty awesome for original paint imo. unfortunately, i can't upload pictures right now, but i'll get some up in a few days. it's in pretty awesome condition, except the motor went a few months after we got it running. so that's the issue at hand at the moment.
i took the motor out after we determined that there was nothing else to do.. and sure enough, it was covered in sludge, and the crank wouldn't turn. it was sitting up for a good while, but i don't think the previous owners ever changed their oil.. anyway. i've stripped down the block, and hopefully in between school and a job i'll be able to finish most, if not all, of the motor work by the end of the summer. i'm not really planning on doing anything to the body, i like the look of a nice worn original paint job.![Big Grin](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
just wanted to say hey, suggestions are more than welcome! peace!

Welcome to the "B" Body Fraternity.
Always nice to see another '68 Big Car owner.
You must be getting used to bonking your head on your '68's hood latch by now.
I've gotta permanent dent in my head from banging into my latch so often. Seem to keep forgetting it's location.
Now I'm so brain-dead it dosen't matter anymore.
At your young age, I'd invest in a "bump cap" to safeguard your "dome".
