olds 76 cutlass supreme from holland
Hello guys
I am from holland , my name is oktay and 34 years
My appologies if i make any mistakes with typing english.
Last summer i bought a olds 76 supreme cutlass brougham t tops
I am trying to restorate the car at the moment for 6 , months now ,

looks like a great car, I'm restoring my grandparents 76 Cutlass supreme 4dr. i have access to the 76 Cutlass Service Manual on disk so if you need any help don't hesitate to ask. I've asked a few questions and all these guys are great in getting responses backwith good information

Welcome to CO! Nice Supreme! When you get your parts list together, let us know what you're looking for....I'm sure We can come up with some parts for you.
From what I can see in your photos, I noticed a couple of things that are specific to a '77 model. If your car is original (without modifications to the factory exterior/interior), then it's a '77 instead of '76. Just wanted to mention it so we can get you the correct part(s) for your car.
What are your restoration plans?

On paper is my car 76 i am the third owner of the car .
i have even the papers adress of the first owner , he used the car for 37 years
and than the car came to holland .the second owner tried to restorate the car
.
He did the piece onder the car and some little paintjob without cleaning the whole area
so what jou can see on the first pictures i posted on the roof
i was looking for t top weatherstripping but cant find it
i think i got the first generation of the seals .
And now i am looking for an other engine 455
about the interior i take every thing out
we make a new how do i say this haha interior our self but leather
All seats roof and doors and panels and dashboard
black red leather
At the moment i am buzzy with the outside because the car has tooo much rust so i cut these parts out what is rusted and weld new pieces in
about 25 to 30 pieces above the wheels is the worst place
Will post some pics later the day

That's interesting. Hmmm, what Documentation paper(s) do you have?
If the grilles and dash pad (one year only) is original to the car, it appears to be a '77. However, theoretically speaking, those parts could fit a '76 but they would be incorrect for that year model and it would take a lot of work to change the dash pads from one to the other but it could be done.
Not saying that's the case with your car but it would be the first time I've seen a '76 with the one year only '77 dash pad. Anything is possible.
I'm curious, let's see if we can figure this out. Can you post the first seven characters of your VIN, the date on the white door jamb sticker (if it's still there), and trim tag information?
As far as your T-Top seals, post a photo of yours and we'll see what you have.

Welcome! That is very cool you are restoring a Cutlass in Holland.
Yes, "macrover" is correct that the dash and grilles in your car are 1977 design only. A 1973-1976 dash has round air conditioning vents above the glovebox and the left dash panel is a little different design. Defroster and radio speaker grilles are a different design as well. The later dash would fit with no problems though, so it might have been changed along with the radiator grilles.
If the original engine in your car is a 455, that would point to the car being a 1976 because 76 was the last year for the 455. The largest engine in 1977 was a 403.
The sixth digit in the VIN will tell you the year of your car. 6 = 1976 and 7 = 1977. Let us know what it is. This is very interesting.

An 85 MPH speedometer would also make it a 1977. 1976 would have a 120 MPH speedometer.

I take a look at the papers and chasis number and you where right it s a 77
They made a mistake in holland when the car came in .
But got the matching numbers and i am happy with that .
I have a question maybe some one can help me with this just got an holley double pumper 650
Would this work or is it to big , and can some body help me with 69, 68 5# heads .
And how much hp wil i gain with this heads ?

Oktay, welcome to CO. A 650 cfm carb probably isn't too big but you really don't need a double pumper. I prefer the original Quadrajet but that's just me. The Holley is a square bore pattern carb so if you do use it be sure to get a square bore pattern intake manifold to fit or else you will have to use one of those hideous adapter plates.
