Olds 403 Owner

Hi - I obtained a Trans Am and joined this site after having no luck on some of the firebird specific sites; they all seem to be one step away from shutting down. It has the numbers matching 403 Oldsmobile and looking forward to learning more about it here. Thanks 👍

Welcome! You are not the only 403 powered T/A owner on this site so I'm sure there are enough knowledgeable people here to help with your questions, fire away!

Welcome to the site, it's a 403 Olds no matter what it's in.

It's a 1979 with a show-bar, Hurst lighting rod shifter and wild paint scheme all from the 80s. I will work on some pics. Looking to install a pretty stock 455 in the 403's place since the 403 is numbers matching and close to end of life which is also why I joined here.

^^^ DIG IT! Homemade SD!! I used to have a '79 TA with the 403. Then got married, had kids and the grocery-getter needed work. Had to let the '79 go. But I later got an '82 TA with a 4-speed. That was a blast!

Welcome.....I cannot wait to see the pictures....I have a 1979 Trans Am with a 403 Olds....I just recently rebuilt the original motor and kept it stock. I had the same experience with the Pontiac sites....
