Welcome. The first thing you need to do is to get a 1972 Chassis Service Manual.

Welcome, good to see another Okie on here, not many of us. I am just north of you in B'ville. and I also have a 72 but I am not a guru but I think I have the Chassis manual somewhere. Good luck with the project!
