Noob with 69 cutlass vert

Hello,

Just picked up a 69 cutlass convertible and found this site researching my new toy. Turns out the PO was active on the board (HouTXCultlass) who did a great job getting the car into shape. Look forward to enjoying the car and learning from the good folks on this site. Not sure if I got the picture upload right.

Thanks for all the kind welcomes. Took my 13 yr old son to school in it the morning after I got it home, not sure who had a bigger grin on their face. First issue to look into is a fuel odor, but already found some good info on the tank vents by searching the site.

Could also be that carb is too rich. Also check to see if there is any fuel leaking from the fuel filter or fuel line.
oh ya, welcome to the site and sweeet ride!

Hey, that car looks very familiar! Wait a minute, that's my old Olds! But that's not me in the drivers seat?!?! I do remember having that same grin everytime I drove her though! Congrats and welcome to the premier Olds site on the web, Dane! There's some real Olds guru's on here and just about every thing you need to know can be found or answered here. Invaluable info when I was doing the resto. Check the tech section also as it has some good info. And remember to enjoy the ride just as much as the destination! Rob

Good show, went last year. Hope to make it but might arrive too late to enter. Son has a scout campout and won't get home until around noon.
