Newbie from Windsor Ontario / Detroit, MI

Hi Everyone, I joined this site in July, and I really like. It is hard to find people as crazy for Oldsmobiles. I own a 1972 Olds 442. It is in the process of being restored. Like most cars in the rust belt, most of it rusted. I have posted some pics of it, let me know what you think. The car is being restored at JH Restorations in Windsor, Ontario. If you are face book you can check out the progress there. Thanks, Great Site!

Welcome to CO

Good luck with the restore, are you going to keep it the original color? Any changes or upgrades. I do like the dark green on that year

Welcome

Nice car , sucks about the rust , I know all about it living here so my boat came from Saskatoon and was really solid and will not be winter driven around here...EVER. Is that a 72 H/O? the reason I ask is because of the trunk stripes being only put on 70 pace cars and 72 H/O's. My 66 Impala SS was a dark metallic sea green. I like the colour

Thanks!

Thanks for the response to my thread. Man, I love this site. The car will stay the original dark green. I like how it looks with the white stripes. The car is a clone 442. It does have all the 442 upgrades. I am also having an engine built for it as well. I am going to stay with the Rocket 350, but it will have 455 heads, cam, intake carb. I will post more pictures later.
