Newbie w/ 69 Olds 442

Hello All,

I am a newbie to this forum and I look forward to enagaging from time to time. I recently purchased a 69 Olds 442 with a numbers matching 400 and original transmission. I attached a pic of my baby.

I am looking to upgrade the engine compartment with performance parts and chrome. Can someone tell me where I can find aftermarket chrome valve covers with fins?

Welcome. Mickey Thompson, Holley, Offenhauser, Hardin Marine, and others have all made finned aluminum valve covers for Olds motors. Most of these are no longer in production, but appear regularly on ebay and at swap meets.

''upgrading''?? an original 442 with original engine and trans with aftermarket chrome is not an ''upgrade'' it is a downgrade
