Hi my name is JR. I live in Waco TX and I am working on a 1959 Chevy Apache that has a 1991 Oldsmobile Bravada V 6 4.3 L AWD frame on it. I bought it like this. I am trying to find the VIN number on the chassis so I can register my truck but I am not having any luck. Is there anybody that can help me find some possibles locations where the VIN number is on the frame or in the engine. Thanks, JR.

Welcome. Are you looking for the Vin number on the engine or the truck? I have a 59 Apache also. Not sure where to look on the 4.3 for VIN. I'm sure someone here knows though.

 

Hi guys. Thanks for replying . I am looking for the vin number on the frame of my 1991 olds bravada. The cab is from a 1959 apache but the frame is from a bravada. I look on the side and top of the frame under the driver's door and did not had any luck. The bed is off so i could easily check the rear of the frame. The apache cab is on the bravada's frame. I have being using mirror to check on the top of the frame but could not find anything.

 

Passenger outside frame rail under the door I believe will have the partial vin and date stamp. Sometimes the full vin is on top of the rail either side somewhere between the engine mount and the back of the front seat.
