newbie to this site

started frame off resto 68 442, the block was red but I think this should be bronze, 3.9 bore with #1 piston stamped 040 . steel forged crank in good shape but the pistons need replacement. Any thoughts on piston selection would be great, thanx and greetings from kootenay lake B.C

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like a great project, post pics when you can and start a thread in the major builds/projects section so we can all follow along.

Welcome to the CO. Your engine would be metallic bronze if it is the 400. If it is a 455 from a H/O it would be red. And if was the 350 it would be gold. It sounds like your block has already been bored out .040 over, I would definitely take it to a reputable machine shop and have it checked out.
