Newbie needs help

Hi, I'm fairly new to the site and could use some advice. In 1966 I purchased from Reliable Olds in Cleveland, Ohio, a new 442 Convertible, turquoise with black top and interior, 4-speed and very few options. It was stolen in 1968 and recovered with some minor body damage, missing manifold, carb, transmission, driveshaft, wheels and tires. I settled with the insurance company and later that year saw it for sale at a dealer in Cleveland, Ohio however I had already replaced it with a 1968 Cutlass Convertible, Green with black interior and white top, and most likely a hard to find 3 speed on the column with the 350 V-8, again very few options. I am now retired and I'm on a mission to find one or both of these cars, I know it will be next to impossible but if you can give me any advice at all, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for any help,

Hudson

I have absolutely no personal expertise or experience in the matter, but I would say that unless you ,
1. Can recall the VINs, and
2. Have a close friend in law enforcement,
you are going to be SOL, barring an act of God.

Best of luck to you, though - perhaps members here will be able to spread the word and someone wil turn up.

Good luck, but both cars might very well be off the road and in junkyards or crushed for many years now.
