Newbie introduction
Hello everyone!
Aaron, from Utah here with an introduction of myself and my recently acquired 1961 Oldsmobile f-85 2dr Cutlass.
The first time I saw her, it was just a few blocks from my house and I immediately dreamed of making her mine. "Not for sale" was the 1st response, 2nd response (ten years later) was a price I couldn't refuse. I'm so lucky! Not just the car, oh no, I'm also blessed with a gorgeous wife an 2 amazing children.
I just swapped out the generator for an old external regulator style alternator today and am happy to say it's finally charging! The newly rebuilt water pump, new thermostat, and hoses that went on last night got tested as well with no issues so far. Next figure out why the hydromatic sounds like a card in the spokes at the red light.
I'm new to forums and writing stuff like this. Have a great memorial day weekend ☺️
All original sub 2800lb v-8 car. I love it!
Holy flex batman! Super soft coils and og shocks that still work.
Wheels from a 1980's mustang with adapters.
These didn't fit, no turning with a 225/55-16. 215/45's work great.

Yes! It's got the original all aluminum 215 3.5 liter V-8. I think being an automatic it may have the 10.75 compression engine. I have the new charcoal grey carpet, just needs some floor repair first in the driver and passenger areas.

Charcoal carpet will look great, save the old carpet for when you drive in the St. Patricks day parade. Tell me it didn't come factory with that green? The interior is really nice and the engine looks great. Good find.

Lol. Definitely not factory. It looks like somebody took it from a clubhouse in 1983. I've already held the new carpet up to block the green and it changes the whole thing. Hopefully I'll get it done in the next couple weeks..
