Newbie hunts for a 98 from 1956

Hi there,

I'm Axel (46) from Germany / near Cologne and I'm looking for a 1956 Oldsmobile 98. I love the 4 door Hardtop version and as I know this is not everywhere available I'm searching worldwide.

I have finished my last project (Opel Rekord P1 from 1959, see attached picture) and now I want to start a new project. A real US car from the 50's.

So maybe you can tell me your favorite websites for car sales or if you know a '56 Olds 98 which is for sale please let me know.
It should not be car in a perfect condition but also not a "piece of rust" only.

Thanks in advance and nice greetings from Germany.

Welcome to the site, nice Opel. You might place a car wanted ad in the classifieds on this site. Good luck in your search.

Watch E-Bay (US) regularly. They turn up there from time to time. Right now there are several 88's but no 98's.

Nice Opel. You might want to keep checking at Hemmings Motor News. They currently have a 56 Starfire (98) convertible for $79,500. That may not be what you are looking for but keep checking. Here is the link:
