newbie here

Hey New to the olds world. Recently acquired a '69 442 W30 sports coupe. Trying to piece together what's left of the car. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Buy one almost done and then use yours for parts.

Welcome. You didn't specify what you need, but unfortunately there's a lot of truth to the statement above. It's always cheaper to buy a completed car than to piece one together.

Of course, that's NEVER stopped me from acquiring projects in rough condition...

Just be aware that if this car is missing key parts like the D heads, you'll pay stupid money for them.

I Have the complete car minus the engine, bell housing and original wheels. they were stolen and sold for scrap metal. The car has been sitting in the woods for over 30 years so I'm trying to find sheet metal such as trunk lid, door skins, hood, floor pan pieces, patch panels or fenders. Was also wondering if there was any way to bring the red fender wheels back from the faded almost light pink color they are now?

So unfortunately the things that make it a W-30 are what's missing. Expect to pay $3500-$4000 for the correct heads. G-block short blocks are pretty easy to come by. The intake was used on every 68-69 BBO except the 69 H/O. A correctly stamped carb will be expensive. Repro air cleaners are available, as are W/Z manifolds. The 581 bellhousing was used on all BOP manual trans cars from 1965 to at least 1970.
