Thanks, 1972 olds vista cruiser. I came across this forum looking for some wiring diagrams for the radio and found a lot of information, figured this was the place to stay informed.

You care to post some photos it would be great.
You need at the minimum (in case you don't own one, yet) the "used" OEM GM 1972 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual (CSM). They can be had on eBay in various used conditions. Get the OEM original paperback edition, the digital formats are replete with terrible images, bad copies etc. There are no "new" CSM manuals - they're copies. Additionally, the OEM CSM contains the original color wiring diagram. Do some research, prices vary on condition.

Two other manuals which are excellent library references are the (1) Product Information Manual (PIM), AKA the Factory Assembly Manual images/diagrams/text of how the entire vehicle was assembled at the factory with detailed steps: and, (2) the Fisher Body Service Manual - all things Fisher i.e. doors, windows, seats, etc. etc.

Love the VC. Nice find on the cigarette machine. My man-cave is similar.

Bill, the car came from Montana via California, and Vintage Chief, if it’s something from the 70’s I’ve likely got it.

Nice looking Vista Cruiser. At the same time it makes me ashamed of the condition that mine is in yet also motivated me to keep at it.

Oldsguy, all the credit goes to the previous owner, all I have done is kept it clean, I cannot take any credit at all.
I’ve owned several cars that I have put the work into but this time I decided to buy turnkey.

yes, he did a wonderful job. I’m amazed at how many people stop me as I’m driving to ask about it. I didn’t know that wagons brought that much attention.
