Newbie from Ct.

Time to introduce myself and **** off some purists at the same time.Keep in mind it was impure when I bought it,I just ran with it.OK the impure car first.64 Cutlass holiday coupe powered by chevy, sorry but it came to me this way and I just went nutz.I do all my own work as I am rather ****.So it's now a 383 stroker with after market fuel injection and is undergoing a massive reconstruction,(shaved door handles ,power windows, all trim removed ,candy apple red paint from HOK,etc)Don't want to bore you.Next is a 64 cutlass conv.which I am going to restore to original cond.for the wife.Next in line is my 66 Bonneville then a 69 Boss 302,97 ford F250 with 228,000 miles in almost showroom cond.and last but not least an 06 Roush mustang GT.As you can see,I'm just a car guy, love em all and have owned lots in the past, ahh, hindsite is 20/20 if I had kept all my cars.

Welcome aboard!
Quite the collection of cars you got there.

A suggestion for you on the 64 build? For now if you don't want to run into headbutting with the purists, there IS a section on this site for that.

Under the Forums tab, you will find a category "Non Olds Powered".

One other thing you will hear from everyone, Please post pics of your ride and project as you git'r done.

Unscrew it!

The problem posting pictures is probably that they are too big. There is a table in the manage attachments box that shows max size for each type of pic. You'll have to resize to get them to fit.

BTW, that is my only complaint with this site. I'm an ex-IT guy and I believe if the program is smart enough to figure out a pic is too big, it can be made smart enough to:

a. Display a meaningful message. The missing security token message is BS programmer lingo. Or preferably

b. Resize the pic automagically. Rather than having all of us do it the system could/should!

yea the code needs to be updated so it will just resize the pictures to fit automatically, yeah it may take a little longer to upload but is worth it.

The C.O. Server WILL downsize pics that are slightly larger than the required 1024 X 768. If yours are too large? Copy the ones you want to submit to a separate folder, then use your photo editor to resize them. Works well for me.

C.O. won't resize the high resolution pics for you. What it will do is automatically resize those that are really close to site tolerance. If it's too big you will receive a message 'Upload failed'. The site is not designed to accept and process requests for huge pics. The size limits are specified in the Manage Attachments section

So after all that ^^^, no there's no special trick. You have to do some things yourself before posting the pics here. Photo editor is really easy to work with for resizing pictures. Only takes about 15 seconds per pic from start to finish.

You can also 'compress' the pic to web size. That will reduce the file size to about 20% of what it originally was.

for more instructions on posting? Have a look at this link https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...tml#post434370
