Nice car. 73 Nova suspension will probably interchange, also the glass. What drivetrain do you have?

The G and KA heads flow better than J heads. If the J head engine has stock pistons, they have huge 40cc dishes giving you 8 to 1 compression. This limits camshaft upgrades and any gains from the better flowing heads.

Welcome! Glad to see some X-body love. I've lost count of the number of X-bods (mostly Novas) friends have owned over the years. Dad used to have a '74 Ventura 4-dr w/ a 250ci straight 6 Chevy and AT. I remember dad wanted to get a new car before they came with CATs. PS, PB and AM radio were the only options, it had a rubber floor and dog-dish caps. When I was 16, I remember racing a McDonald's co-worker's 2-dr MT twin (it might have been 3-on-the-tree). We were pretty neck and neck, and I was pretty sure if we swapped cars, I could beat him because he wasn't the best shifter. Don't hate, but I've always had a soft spot for the '74 GTO. An X-bod w/ a SHAKER HOOD?? What's not to like about that?

Does anyone make a W25 hood for the Omega? The grille was made for one.

You won't know till you open it up, it could have better pistons that stock. A lot can happen in 45 years. A compression test if possible before pulling the heads. You can mill the heads some to bump compression but that is only worthwhile if the motor is in good shape.
