Newbie From Calgary 62 dynamic 88

Hi everyone. This summer my fiance and I bought an awesome project, 1962 dynamic 88.

I'm a vintage BMW guy,so I'm learning my ropes slowly.

Already rebuilt the carb and she starts and runs like a charm. Interior is being redone with Jaguar soverign seats.

Plans for the car include, (not in order)

-Body work (of course)
-find an original steering wheel
-Efi conversion (i'm an expert here)
-Engine rebuild
-Brake system rebuild

Stuff already done
-Carb rebuild
-electrical system repairs
-Am radio repaired and ipod plug installed
-New floor pans up front
-new battery
-New ignition wires/ignition stuff
-New headlights

Lots of fun. What an awesome car with so much class and style.

Welcome aboard! Any chance you're going to the Rocket Roundup in Olds this year? Love to see your car. If you need info on the show LMK and I'll hook you up with the event organizers.
BTW, before anyone else starts to bug you.....PLEASE post some pics. Oh yeah, keep that beauty away from the trees and stuff that comes crashing down in Calgary's high winds!

I sure am. Not sure if Ol' beulah will make it down right away, I went in 2010 as well, but just caught the end of it. I'll post a few pics.

Ok, The dark pic is the car as she sits now.

We got it for $1000, the guy we bought it from was a retired mechanic. Its got some rear fender rust issues, and the interior was mouse-eaten. He saw it in a farm field and hauled her home to be saved. Awesome eh? Well, engine and tranny are ok, although I know a place that can rebuilt the slimjim if needed. There's a parts car local to me on kijiji so i'm thinking that I may buy it and part it out. Would love a spare transmission and engine!!!

Its not going to be a purist car, but it'll be our car. Jag seats, EFI conversion (eventually) and all.

Car was missing original air filter and steering wheel. Those will be on my list (Maybe, might do a 4x4bbl efi setup).
