Newbie from CA

Hi my name's Todd. I'm new to the forum. I'm working on a 1962 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Holiday Coupe 394 2V SlimJim.

Need lots of help, especially with underhood vacuum and fuel line routing. This information is missing from the service manual and I can't find it anywhere online.

I also have a 1962 Oldsmobile Super 88 Sedan that I disassembled for parts so I have a lot of extras to sell.

Nice to meet everyone.

Welcome to the site Todd. Outside of some surface rust your car looks to be pretty solid.

Thanks! Yeah it was a desert car so the interior is wasted and the paint is scorched, but the floor boards, qtrs, and fenders are all solid

Welcome, my understanding for 1962, is that you also need the 1961 service manual.

Yes, that's right. I got the PDF of both 1961 and 1962 plus the F-85 add-on for $35. They have been really helpful, aside from the not having underhood vacuum and fuel line diagrams.

Welcome Todd, I have an assembly manual for my 66 I find it very helpful. I don't know if there is one for your car. There is a lot of knowledge on this site I am sure someone will have a answer for you. There is a parts section tward the bottom of the forum section you may find what you need.

Check out the So Cal chapter of the Olds Club of America, I know one of the members has a 63 Starfire and is VERY knowledgeable on it, it shouldn't be much different.

Welcome, and let's keep SAVing those 62's!

A previous poster is correct, there are 2 FSMs for your car: The 1961 Service Manual and the 1962 Supplement. The 62 supp only has changes from the info set out in the 61 manual.
