Newbie

Hey everyone,
At my age I kinda like being called a newbie.
Just a Olds guy, with $500 and what started out as a default pick on my first real car in the mid 70's - the 67 Charger was sold, and the red, 4 speed, 70 Buicks GS455 Stage 1 that was for sale for $750 because the owner lost his leg in a motorcycle accident was nixed by my father because he thought it was too much car and would not loan me the extra $250 - I still have mixed feelings on that one - ended up with a 70 Cutlass S and a life long love for 1970 Oldsmobiles. Through out the years the collection grew to include a 70 Cutlass Convertible and a documented 70 SX. Some life events lead to the selling of everything in the late 90's. I have been in the Paint & Body business my whole life, but have been out of the actual hands part of that business for about 7 years and missed that aspect of the business - luckily I was in a position to replace that SX I had sold years ago - after several for sure SX's were found out to be fakes I decided on a 442. Found this one out in El Paso (rust free), number's matching - original owner had it until 2007 then sold it to a family friend w/the promise it would be restored to it's formal glory - once the original owner passed the friend gave it a quickie incorrect make over - I purchased it from him - Let it set for a few years in my garage until I started the task of a fulfillment of a broken promise of a complete OE correct (or close) restoration a few years ago in my spare time - in the final stages - hopefully I will have her on street for her next birthday. Obviously a labor of love.
