Hi everyone. Just picked up a 63 F-85 cutlass? Still not sure if if it’s classified as a cutlass or just a F-85? Picked it up as a cruiser project for the family and I to have some fun in.

Car is in pretty decent shape but still has some work to do so I’m excited to learn more about these cars.

Biggest mod I would say is it was swapped to a Chevy 350 and 350 trans, which unfortunately means I guess they had to remove the heater blower assembly that would normally be on the fire wall so there’s no air of any kind and I will have to try and figure out a solve for that.

Work seems to be good but there are some finishing touches and fine tuning I’ll need to do to clean it up a bit.

The drum brakes will need a hood overhaul before my wife will be comfortable driving it.



parts I know I’ll need as of right now are
center counsel and shifter
fuel tank (current one is dented and weeps out of filler neck joint)
lens covers for rear courtesy lights

A quick search for a replacement gas tank came up with nothing specific to this car. Saw some that said star fire or 1964 +
