Newbie with 55 Olds 2 door sedan

Hi all, always loved the look of the 55 olds, finally scored me one, 35000 miles, 3 speed manual, driven 14 years, has some rust in trunk and front floor board, but everything is there, body near perfect, all chrome excellent but rt 1/4 trim piece dented , even the seats are good, they had seat covers over them, motor is locked up, Im not sure what to do, rebuild it stock or update the motor and trans to sbc and automatic

Yeah, we need more pictures. Please do not convert to SBC and automatic. The 3 on the tree makes it very unique. Pull the plugs and start soaking the cylinders in something like Marvel Mystery Oil or a combination 20/20 acetone and automatic transmission fluid. You may be able to get it to free up. Cool car.

Thanks I will get some more pictures today, I will take your advise and soak the cylinders, it is a really cool car with a lot of character, its hard to find anything anymore in decent shape, heck the car even has the original headliner in it
