Hello! Jack, here. Owner of a 1967 Oldsmobile 442.
I bought the car new in 1967. It still has original paint, vinyl top. Picture below. I'm nearing completion on a frame-off restoration of the car and decided to join this forum as I've heard good things about the group. Thanks and happy to be here!
Welcome Jack! Wow, original owner, I'm impressed! Awesome car, even if I am a little biased as I too own a '67 4-4-2. You heard right, this is the place to hang if you're an Olds owner. A great group of guys with a wealth of knowledge, and always willing to help if they can. Give us a few pics of where you're at in your restoration when you have time, everyone loves pictures.
Chris
Awesome to you for keeping your car all these years.. I love the gold colors on these 66-67 Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs.. pics please..welcome aboard, great group of guys.
Oh, that's pretty!🥰 Especially wearing wire caps and whitewalls like 442 did back in 67. Yeah, I know those are 66 caps but they look nice and suit this 442 well.
Don't get me wrong, SS1 and white letters also look great, but raised white letter tires didn't appear until 1969.

thank you so much for the warm welcome. i will try to track down some pics and post them. i am still working on putting the car together from my frame off restoration. thank you
Welcome aboard and I agree 100% that the gold colors look great on these cars. Especially when a contrasting black top or interior are there too. As an original owner, I'd love to hear the story of how you decided on this particular car. What else was on your shopping list at the time and was there something in particular that made you seek out a 442 or was it just a case of the right car at the right price at the right time?
