Hello everyone, Just acquired a 1950 Oldsmobile 88 deluxe 4 door.It is stock with a 303 and hydramatic transmission.I plan on keeping it as close to original as possable. The wirering is frayed so i plan on replacing it and adding ac cause it gets hot in Arizona. I have questions I will be asking in the othe forums.Looking to get some great information.
Very nice. That is probably a later model since it has the one-piece windshield. I don't believe that is an original color but it sure is pretty. I like the headlight rims. They look a lot better than the original ones. I did something similar when I had my 54. It did not look as bug-eyed. The six-volt system may cause you some problems when you go to add AC.
You may have a problem finding a two or three grove dampener pulley for a 303 to run your AC or the fact that 6 volt AC systems that work are few and far between, there are ways around that when you get to that point, just ask. There is always the cool factor if you want to be more original.. Tedd Looks better than it is practical, especially on a convertible
Beautiful Olds, love that the plan is to keep it as original as possible, that's the best way to do them in my opinion. Beautiful color scheme, the blue is gorgeous. Can't wait to see what else is in store!
