Hi all, I have just got my hands on a pretty sweet complete 1951 98.
I sold a 51 Chevy to get it, the Chevy was stripped down but ran like a top. The Olds is complete, in good shape, with minimal rust, and a locked up 303... So I am in the process of takin out the the motor and trans. As I think I have found a replacement. It also needs some brake work amonst other things.

I am interested in learning as much as I can to keep this beauty on the road and safe for the wife and kids. I have learned in the past few weeks that the aftermarket doesn't seem to be there for the Olds like there is for the Chevy. I also learned that as much as the Chevy and Olds look in overall shape and "bullnose" they are nothing alike at all.

Thanks, Brandon

Beautiful car. From the condition of the trim, it has to have been stored inside pretty much all its life. Too bad about the engine. No way to free it up? It'd be nice if the car could retain its original engine (assuming what's in there is original).

Welcome to CO! Your car brings back great memories; I had a '50 98 hard top, black top/white bottom, dual Smithy's, flipper hubcaps. Wow! Extremely rare car, just didn't know it at the time. Fix that big ol' puppy up, and have a truly neat/rare car to show/ride/enjoy, with a lots of room!

Hi welcome to the site. Nice car. Yeah we don't have as many aftermarket parts as cheby, but we do have parts. What are your plans for it.

Sweet ride, hope the engine can be fixed so you can keep the car original.

Thanks everybody for the great welcome! I am gonna fix it up and drive it. Get it running, get it to stop, and remake some floor boards. Maybe go to 12 volt eventually, cleaner up, and re upholster the interior...
Does anybody sell a disc brake kit to bolt onto my spindles?

Thanks, Brandon
