New w/78 Cutlass Supreme

New to the group. Just bought a 78 Cutlass Supreme nearly identical to the 79 Brougham my wife was driving when we met. Have to replace a lot of plastic molding / trim in the interior. Are there other GM models that are compatible? Thanks!

Hi, Welcome. You are in luck. I believe all Cutlass 1978 to 1987 rear wheel drive. Have the share basically the same plastic molding / trim in the interior. After market is also around.

The dashboards are common across 1978-88. Door panels differ by year and trim level. Rear interior panels are different for 78-80 vs 81-88 due to the different roofline.

To add to some differences, the B-pillar, aka lock pillar, trim is slightly different (78-80 has a tab with a hole in it for a screw near the bottom, newer ones didn't but should fit if you use them, just plug the screw hole). The good thing is besides the main dash components is the A-pillar trim is exactly the same from 78-88. These get burned in the sun a lot, but easy to replace. Just trim them down a little for T-top version. The top trim gets a little weird if you have T-tops. The 78 versions were a tad smaller than the later versions and had different pieces inside the roof. If you don't have T-tops, all the interior trim around the front windshield is the same 78-88.

Thanks so much. No T-top, so this makes things a lot better.
