Hi I'm Jen. I have a partially restore 77 Olds 442 that I'm looking to sell. My son has lost interest and doesn't have the time, money or desire to finish the restoration. I want to make sure she goes to a good home.

Welcome Jen, sorry to hear about your son losing interest in the car. Post some pictures and start a for sale thread in the classified section. Where in Texas are you located?

Pics, location and price before I can know if I can replace your son's lost interest with mine. Thanks.

Your son won't even lift a finger to sell the car? He leaves it to his mother to pick up after him? How old is he? If he was my kid, and he was old enough to buy a car to fix up, I'd be kicking his butt to clean up his own messes!

HE should be posting the photos. HE should be describing the car. HE should be posting the asking price. HE should be handling any inquiries. He was the one restoring it, so he's more likely to be able to answer questions about it.

If every question about the car has to pass through you in both directions, that's just more opportunities for information to get lost or garbled in the transmission.

Jaunty don't you see, there's madness to Jen's methods. She sells the car, she keeps the money. And if the boy has lost interest that easily, I'm guessing he didn't put much into the car in the first place.

Good luck Jen, maybe you should finish the resto and drive it around. I wish my Mom would have had a cool car when I was growing up.

Good point! I didn't think of that. She certainly should keep the money. Treat herself to something nice!

... and where did the boy "learn" to lose interest so easily? Nut fell right at the base of the tree apparently. A one post wonder.

Who knows, maybe her post (more then 2 years ago) rejuvenated her son's interest and the vehicle has taken on a new life or she actually sold it and had no further need to continue posting... Although a follow up would have been nice...

Well, hopefully someone purchased her 77 and has continued on with the restoration. Maybe the new owner will pop up on CO one day.
