New to the site!

Hello my name is Darryl and I am new to the site.

I have a 1970 Cutlass S convertable with a 455. Needs restoration and ran when I shut it off in 1999. I got married and had kids so the vehicle has been in a friends garage since then. I am now divorced and I can start working on getting it running again. I told my kids I was going to fix up my convertable and my daughter said "Dad you don't own a convertable." It was at that point I realized she had never see my Olds and she is 9 yrs old! I think it is time to get going on my restoration!

I have been reading the thread and I am finding great information.
I hope to find some parts on here as well.

Darryl

Welcome Darryl.
Don't wipe the dust off
before you post the pics, ha ha.
Plenty of good info and parts available
here. Good luck with the resto, Adam.

A '68 sat for 7 yrs because... the engine was too good to use... had sold the incorrect E400 that came with it to me, and a factory red inner fender well...

Mother's Day of year 7, I dug it out, moved everything out of the way, and wife says, "too much work, put it back"

Oh HELL no.

In a week or so I had the new 425 in place, and the IFW replaced, and drivable... 5 ys or so later, it needs front end rebuild [didn't I JUST DO that about 15 yrs ago? ] and tailpipes, and no $ on hand, not even $500 to fix those basics... so here it is about 5 yrs still later and still no extra $500 so there she sits...

However a friend owes me $ and labor from another restoration I assisted him with, so... all we need is a place to do it. Hoping to not just get it running but repaint and fix all the problems. windshield rust, etc.
