New to this site
Hey Everyone,
My name is Kris and I have driven an Oldsmobile all my life (started at 16 and am 24 now
). My daily driver is a 93 Cutlass Supreme that my grandma bought new. In 2008, I was supposed to get my other grandmothers 1961 Olds 98 Sport Sedan that my great grandfather bought new and has been sitting in the garage for the past 20 years. My uncle changed his mind about allowing me to have it and convinced my grandmother to not let me take it. He believes he is going to fix it up someday when he gets his life in order. Since that deal went through I looked around for years and I really wanted a Chevelle. They are took expensive even for one that is all rusted out. In 2010 I found a 1972 Cutlass S on craigslist that was an Arizona car and had no rust and only needed engine work. I bought that and replaced the worn out lifters and camshaft and got it running again. I've done many things to it since and am in the process of swapping a 2000 LS1 and 4L60E in from a Corvette. That's all for now and I'll probably start up a build thread on this site soon since I have manly been on LS1tech.com with my LS questions.

1974 Oldsmobile Omega
I am a new member to this site, although I have viewed it many times. I have a 1974 Oldsmobile Omega that my grandma bought brand new. Unfortunately she used it for a farm car and it was in rough shape when I got it. Then I let it sit for 20 years. Now my 18 year old son has rekindled the flame and has really done a lot of the work to get it back on the road. We have put on patch panels, fixed many other rust spots ( it really needed quarters but could not find any) the car only has 48k on it. We have some #6 heads getting hardened seats and big block valves installed for a temporary boost. We also have a 455 in the shop we are building to go in as we can afford all the things it needs to handle such an engine, brakes, transmission, suspension. Well apparently I cannot upload pictures from my IPad so I will do that later. Great forum!
