Cigarette Lighter fix

Hello, I am relatively new to this site. Just posted a photo. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix a broken cigarette lighter. I did not see any blown fuses, and the 8 track and am/fm work well. I was thinking of removing the old "rochester" and putting in a NOS lighter. Any suggestions or troubleshootinga dvice. I just added new BF Goodrich Radial T/A and a new radiator and recharged the AC. I have also used Por15 on the frame, and underside. I used to have a '71 Olds Cutlass in High School 25 years ago. The 71 was white with a black top.

Thanks.

Pat,

Thanks, I checked the ground and it was connected, and yes 12 volts.

And sometimes they just plain quit working! The elements can be replaced.
