I live in southern California and have recently purchased a 1966 Olds Cutlass Convertible. I have owned it for almost 3 months and have yet to drive it. We just finished the brakes and now the ignition switch went out. Oh what fun

 

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. The good news is that there really isn't much on these cars that is difficult to fix. New switches are readily available. Are you sure it's the switch? Good luck.

 

Thanks!! Checked the switch and it's good but being replaced along with the cylinder/key. I can't find the plug with wiring that goes into the back of the switch anywhere. The ground wire is bad.
