Hello there. Name is John and I recently acquired a 59 Olds Super 88 and many boxes of parts. A very amateur restoration was started on the car (not that I'm a pro - far from it!), mostly on the body. However, the car seems solid and is probably mostly complete. Right now, I'm concentrating on the motor and peripherals so I can determine what needs to be rebuilt. I don't plan to do a frame off but rather clean everything, fix everything that needs it and get it painted so can use it as my daily driver.

I live in Portland, Oregon. We hope we have a summer here this year.

I also have a 46 ford Super Deluxe Coupe that was frame off restored and only goes out when the sun is shining.

Just joined and have already gleaned valuable info from the site!

Welcome to CO. I don't know if they use a lot of salt on the roads in Oregon during the winter but if that car is native to the northwest and they do us salt then except to find some rust. Good luck.
