Very nice. The car looks to be in nice shape, love the tail lamps. Patience and having the service manual will help you to get the Roto-Hydramatic working well once again!

Do y'all see the influence for 81-88 Cutlass coupe taillight design?

You have a Town Sedan. Entry level Ninety Eight but still a luxurious car.

d2willys and coldwar are your HydraMatic experts here and Charlie Jones understands them too. Do you have a 1963 Oldsmobile factory shop book? If not an original print copy of it should be on your list. No need to be afraid of a SlimJim, it just does things differently.

I was thinking it influenced the tail lights of the early '70s '98s.

The same guy might be responsible for all those designs .
A lot of stylists worked for 20 or 30 years or more for GM .
