New to olds not to "G" body

Whats up guys. Thanks for having me. I have a 1986 olds cutlass salon that i picked up a few days ago. Most questions i post will be general g body considering my car is a hybrid at this point. The car is cool but it needs to be refined. I am a pretty good tech so i can lend some advice myself. I teach auto tech myself and am not a complete noob. It should be fun. Thanks again.

Welcome... The hood is a little different, are they functional... I have a few G-Bodies myself, 2 85's (one Salon & one Supreme), 87 Supreme, & an 88 Classic... The 85 supreme is a converted big block (was a V6)...

Its a stock hood, The car had a turbo 406 in it and it had crazy under hood temps so the previous owner took the vents from a 60's cutlass and installed them (like these) There are actual holes in the hood.

Is that a cookie cutter run of the mill corporate in it that's giving it propulsion?
