Hello, everyone! As of the 15th of January I can officially say I am an "Oldsmobile Man", having purchased a pretty sweet 1970 Olds 442, VIN 344870M233530, 455ci V8, 700R4 transmission, 12-Bolt Posi rear end w/ 3.23 gears, in Aspen Green with a black vinyl top. Whenever I buy a classic car I'm always anxious to join a forum and see what other owners are doing with their rides, and gaining knowledge that I can put to use in the garage. So thank you for being here, all you Oldsmobile guys and gals; I look forward to many fun, interesting, and enlightening conversations to come! Cheers, Dave
Thanks, Greg! Yeah, I was just looking around for a new ride, and the one I ended up buying happened to be finished in one of my favorite colors, green.
Thanks guys. Growing up I remember my uncle buying a new 1973 Chevy Laguna that was about that shade of green, and I instantly fell in love with the color. Oh, and those cutting-edge swivel seats in the Laguna were pretty cool too!

My neighbor when I was growing up had a green 73 Chevelle coupe. Man did I like his car, to this day its one of the 3 non Oldsmobile's I'm fascinated with, looks wise. The Corvette tail lights did it for me.

I think Olds started doing the swivel seats in 73 as well.
