New to the “Old”

Good evening everyone! I have recently been introduced to the Oldsmobile family and purchased a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible. My brother, father, and I purchased her on Memorial Day. Looking forward to having some fun with her and making some improvements all around. Here are some pics of it. I owned a 1970 Buick Skylark that I still miss today, but this will fill the void I have I’m sure. Thanks all!

My old 1970 Buick Skylark

Nice ride; Welcome Aboard! Do you have any specific plans for your new baby?

We plan on replacing the top, she had some leaks for sure. Under carpet, she had some holes in the floor pan from the leaks, nothing major. New carpet, freshen up the interior as well, minor stuff. Seats were in incredible condition. Under the hood, need to figure out why she won’t hold a charge. Will get into troubleshooting this weekend. Carb needs gone through and engine bay cleaned up. We’d like to convert it to dual exhaust as it only has a single right now. Frame was in great condition as well as core support. Wheel wells have no cancer, however, trunk pan will need some patching. Overall, it was a sweet investment and we’ll have some fun!

Nice car, enjoy! It looks like it has the Gutless S grill.
