New from The Netherlands
Hello,
My name is Joey and I recently bought a 1947 series 66 coupe olds.
Since I live in The Netherlands getting parts & info is even harder than in the states.
Therefor I hope to get some info here on the forum.
The Olds is a flat black "hotrod" project with a chevy 350 engine.
It still has some work to be nice but I think it's a nice start.
There seems to be a little surface rust underneath but nothing rotten.
I can understand that a lot of purist won't like this car, but thats up to you.
The plan is to make this car into a nice little hotrod and drive it when it's sunny to car shows and drive in cinemas.

Welcome, Joey. Several members from the Netherlands, and quite a few from Europe here.
Your car may upset some of the purists amomng us. I prefer a car to be as it left the factory, but if Chevy power keeps another Oldsmobile on the road then that's fine with me. I'm well aware that an Oldsmobile engine is not a phone call away, even in North America the correct engine for your car won't be easy to find, so good luck and keep us up to date with pictures please.
Roger.

Welcome Joey, sounds like a fun project. If parts are needed ,there is a Classified section where you can post under "parts wanted". With any questions ,post them under the "Vintage Olds" section. We have several owners of '40's models that frequently visit that section. Post pictures whenever you can. Larry

Hoi Joey, welkom. Waar woon je?
- If you need parts shipped from the US, I used a guy in Breda to bring a large crate of stuff into the country a while back, he was very cheap compared to everyone else. He works with someone in Texas to fill containers full of cars and parts to make it as cheap as possible.
